Wien ist das einzige Bundesland ohne eigene Hymne – gewesen! Die Wiener Bezirkszeitung und der Radiosender Lounge FM haben vor Kurzem einen Hymnencontest gestartet. Samira Dadashi, die fesche Wienerin mit iranischen Wurzeln ist dem Aufruf gefolgt und konnte sich gegen andere Kandidaten durchsetzen. Ihr Siegersong „Vienna Is Calling“ ist fortan die Hymne von Wien.
Heldin von Heute
Samira Dadashi wird Zuschauern von TV-Castingshows nicht unbekannt sein. Beim ORF-Format „Helden von Morgen“ hat es für die 29-Jährige nicht zum Sieg gereicht. „Vielleicht ist Österreich taub“ kommentierte sie damals ihren Rauswurf ironisch. Ihre Leidenschaft hat sie trotzdem nie aufgegeben: „Musik ist eine universelle Sprache, mit der ich Menschen jeder Nation berühren kann – das würde ich nie aufgeben!”
Neben Deutsch, Persisch und Französisch singt sie auch auf Englisch und Spanisch. Ihre Leidenschaft gilt dem Soul. Sie singt aber auch zu House, Pop und Hip-Hop und stand schon im WUK und Gasometer auf der Bühne. So bunt wie Wien, eben.
